The Linn-Mar Community School District Board of Directors consists of seven community members elected at-large, serving overlapping terms of four years. Board members serve without pay.

The Board of Directors is a policymaking and planning entity, governing the overall operations of the district and does not get involved with the day-to-day operations of the school system.

The school board elects its own president and vice president, appoints a secretary and treasurer, and hires a superintendent to serve as the chief executive.

The Board of Directors only takes action on matters in regular meetings when a quorum of members is present. The board president serves as the spokesperson for the school board's position on all items related to the district.

Board Meeting Dates:
Agendas and exhibits are posted the Friday prior to each board meeting.
The 2023 dates will be officially approved during the November annual meeting.
