401.11 - Tutoring

Every effort will be made by licensed personnel to help students with learning problems and skill development as appropriate to the student’s age and capacity.

  • Employees will not solicit students or parents of students to purchase equipment, supplies, or services for the employee’s personal advantage;
  • Employees will not use professional relationships with students for private advantage;
  • Public property or funds will not be converted to personal use;
  • Employees will not render services for reimbursement directly from students enrolled in their classrooms or supervision for tutoring, lessons, personal coaching, or similar services; and
  • Tutoring, lessons, personal coaching, or any other types of professional instructional and/or skill supports for a fee by non-employees cannot take place within school facilities.

The superintendent will be responsible for administrative regulations pertaining to this policy.
